This car was spotted on a rooftop near the scene of a minor speeding violation. Let us know the make, year, and model, and perhaps someone from the L.A. county sheriffs department will read this post and learn the identity of this car.
Here is a shot from the front if it helps

I think its a Trabant 500

I wouldn't be sure about that, this one's got suicide doors.

Since we never had the Trabaunt over here, I'm leaning towards it being a Renault Dauphine.

what? how will that help the speeding violation? since when do speeding tickets have a scene? why does the police dept care?

Not a Dauphine, look at the sides, profile is wrong and no side vent for the rear engine. Looks post war depression era German or Eastern European to me.

Its a Lloyd, not sure of the exact model though.

It's definitely a little Lloyd of some sort. Maybe an LP 400 or LP 600.

Lloyd! There is no way i would have guessed that. Thank you! it's been bugging me for days. Now i have to go back down there and find out how it found its way to southeast Iowa. (and maybe how much they'd want for it)

It won't, they don't, and they don't. the whole thing was a play on jalopnic's "Identify X and help catch a Y" articles.

I am dis-oppo-ointed nobody tried to call it "Oliver".

Probably. I'm really only familiar with the Dauphine from TV, so I thought it might be an older model than what I was used to seeing.
